Dinner with Tomo and a General Lee Sighting

Quote of the Day

“Life shrinks or expands according to one’s courage.” – Anaïs Nin

Gratitude

I’m thankful for friends. I’m thankful for late-night chats with the boys.

The Pits

Just general business.

The Peaks

Traci, Turner, and I were all up at 5am. Traci went to Reborn Fitness, Turner was up early to go work out with Caleb and Trey at Trey‘s house, and I worked out in the garage.

I got Weston up at 6 AM to get ready for school. There are no more late start Mondays for the rest of the school year.

It’s time for Weston’s 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony. I sent in this photo of him to be displayed on the projector when he walks the stage.

Round the Corner

Trek was still slow to get out of his crate this morning to eat. But once he was up, he was moving around pretty good, and I took him on a short walk around the playground.

I had it into the office and had a busy but productive day.

Dinner with Tomo

I left work around 5pm to meet Tomo at Hop House Tennessee Taps in Franklin.

I parked in the 5th Avenue garage, and I spotted a General Lee parked in front of Puckett’s. Tomo had just arrived in the garage too, so we took a quick side quest to check out the General Lee.

We headed to the Hop House and had a nice dinner. We both got the turkey club, and we enjoyed a couple of drinks while we chatted about how life is going.

We were there for a few hours and we finished up around 9pm. I arrived home around 9:30pm. Traci was already in bed, but I heard the boys talking upstairs so I went upstairs to hang out with them and see how their days had gone.

Turner was talking about how skinny Weston has been looking lately and I told him that we had discussed Weston’s diet habits last night. I’m really hoping that Weston starts trying to eat better and get on more of a regular exercise routine as I think that would help him figure out what might be causing some of the stiffness in his joints.

Once Turner started driving, both boys went from walking to school every day to riding in the Accord. Weston’s flag football practices have been so sporadic lately that he really hasn’t been getting much regular exercise. I can’t help but wonder if these things, in additional to his growth rate, could be reasons he’s having so much joint pain.
